Matt Findley – Pastor

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

As we journey together in faith, I am filled with immense joy and anticipation for the spiritual growth that lies ahead of us. Our current sermon series focusing on learning spiritual practices is an exciting opportunity for us to deepen our connection with God and strengthen our faith.

In a world filled with distractions and challenges, it is essential that we equip ourselves with spiritual tools to navigate life’s complexities. Through prayer, meditation, scripture reading, and other practices, we open our hearts to the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. These practices are not mere rituals but pathways to encountering the living God in our midst.

I am particularly excited about the conversations, insights, and revelations that will emerge as we delve into these spiritual practices together. Each week, as we gather in worship and in conversations with one another, let us approach this journey with openness and eagerness to learn and grow.

My prayer for us as a community is that we not only learn these spiritual practices but also embrace them wholeheartedly. May we integrate them into our daily lives, allowing them to shape and mold us into disciples of Christ who bear witness to His love and grace in the world.

As we embark on this journey, let us also take a moment to express our gratitude for the many ministries that are ongoing within our churches. It is these ministries that give our church its unique character and enable us to serve our community with love and compassion.

Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 3:16 from The Message translation: “Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.”

In Christ’s love,
